At the last Africa CEO Round-table Conference on Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (AR-CSR), which marked the 5th edition, the conference was re-commissioned to run under the Foundation for Sustainability and Responsibility in Africa (FSRA), as a stand-alone organization. Hence, regional meetings where stakeholders and industry leaders will be gathered to discuss challenges, trends and activities peculiar to each region will be convened.

A sustainable organization is one, which incorporates social, economic, and environmental ideals into its operations. Such a business adds to the overall development of a nation while increasing its bottom line and reducing threat to its survival. The global threat of the economic climate; increasing competition, diminishing natural resources, technological revolutions, growing scandals, and the continued fluctuation of oil prices have exposed businesses all around the world to the uncertainty of survival if they fail to integrate sustainability.

In the same vein, the fundamental idea behind the concept of inclusive organizations is considering all stakeholders, especially the poor, in a business approach, process and activities, in order to create value for all. This enhances reputation, increases growth potentials, and at the same time promotes sustainable development.

The 2016 Regional Forum will therefore seek to find the missing link between investment portfolios and social change, as well as explore MSMEs & Cooperatives as an impact goldmine, amongst other related themes and ideas.
